Trafford Mill

Trafford Mill is located in Mickle Trafford near Chester, it is currently proposed to convert this Grade II listed building into a Museum and Visitors Centre. The building is valued as a place of historical interest and is currently on the Councils list of endangered buildings.

According to historical records the site itself has been used for milling purposes since 1302, it however was last used in this capacity in 1952. Since the cessation of milling the building has largely been redundant and disused. The associated mill machinery and water wheels are still in place, although not complete and no longer functioning they are well preserved.

Planning has been approved with the project works scheduled to commence shortly subject to Lottery funding.
